    What is the difference between "Amen" and "amen"?

    Is there a difference? In some places I see it with a capital A and others not..I was just wondering..also some people say ay(long a)-men and some say ah(short a)-men...
    I don't know whay I thought of this...lol just thought I would ask.....lol

    I don't know that there is a difference, other than the typical, "if it's capitalized it's emphasized" thing. You know, amen means "so be it" in Hebrew, so Amen would be "So BE it!!" and of course, AMEN would be shouting it.

    Any other ideas?

    i think the capitalization and non . doesn't really make a difference . but sometimes particularity can be a function of the ego .

    I think it is the same thing, both of them. Just different pronumciations.
